Meryl has a broad range of experience in corporate and commercial matters, with a particular emphasis on representing middle market businesses, high net worth entrepreneurs, and senior executives. Meryl often acts as outside “in-house” counsel to her clients. Her practice includes advising companies in their strategic planning; structuring, negotiating, and documenting a variety of commercial transactions; and representing buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions. Meryl also represents employers and senior executives in employment and severance arrangements, and advises not-for-profit organizations on corporate governance and related matters. Meryl is Counsel to the New York Women’s Agenda, a coalition of over 100 women’s organizations in New York City, and the New York Women in Communications, a leading association of women in the communications industry. She is also Counsel to and a member of the Women Presidents’ Organization, a peer advisory group for women with multi-million dollar businesses. Meryl’s professional activities have included serving on the Board of Directors and as a vice president of the New York Women’s Bar Association, serving on the Committee on Art Law of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and membership in the Financial Women’s Association.
